I'm really liking the game so far. The community is helpful (at least on the PVE server). The game is free to play, and there aren't as many restrictions without membership as there used to be. You can craft gear as a free to play player, but you do need a membership to build a house. My current character does leatherworking and cooking so far. I like the isometric view and the graphics are nice especially compared to a lot of the pixel graphics games. Once you leave the starter island, if you die you drop everything in your backpack but you keep your equipped gear. It does give you some time to go to your grave site to get your stuff back.
